Who Our Hearts Were Made For by Connor Brantley

Who Our Hearts Were Made For

This summer we looked at what it looks like for us to genuinely Encounter Jesus.  We saw that when we choose to believe in Jesus for ourselves, it means that we choose to reject all false gods that are not worthy of our worship.

How do we know when we are worshipping other gods?  And when we see that we are giving our hearts away to gods, how do we redirect our worship back to Jesus?  For our Fall Retreat Weekends, this is what we are going to be talking about.

Jesus is the one who our hearts were made for.  He is the only one who is worthy of our worship.  Yet, we are constantly giving our hearts away to other things.  Jesus said in Matthew 6:21, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”  He gives us a roadmap to see who or what is the desire of our hearts.

Our staff and our campers will hear from God over our weekends together.  We fully believe that He is going to help us see what our hearts are truly desiring, and help us take back our worship and our hearts from other gods in our lives.  We are highly expectant and already praising Him for all that He is going to do!
