Athletics

New Life Camp Athletics programs are designed to train players to pursue excellence in both sports competition and their relationship with Christ. Players are challenged in areas of discipline and teamwork while learning life lessons that illustrate the greater truths from God’s Word.

Storm Athletics

The New Life Storm is the homeschool athletics program of New Life Camp, competing against other home school teams as well as public and private schools in the area. The goal of each team is to honor Christ through athletic excellence. All participants are required to be registered with the North Carolina Department of Non-Public Education (DNPE) in order to participate.

As of August 1st of current school year, players must not have reached:

  • Their 19th birthday for Varsity competition
  • Their 17th birthday for Junior Varsity competition
  • Their 14th birthday for middle school competition (15th for MSG Basketball and MSB Soccer). *Note- Players must have reached age 11 by August 1st to be eligible for middle school competition.

New Life Basketball League

The New Life Basketball League uses the sport of basketball to love and accept players of all skill levels right where they are. This is integral in our desire to introduce families to New Life found in Jesus. Our desire is to take out the pressure found in much of youth sports and just make basketball fun. Throughout the season we will be teaching character traits that not only apply to the basketball court but to life as a whole. New Life Basketball is a family-based program and relies on the involvement of parents and volunteers. Our core values are:

  • All practices & games occur back to back so that there is only 1 trip to New Life Camp per week.

  • Each weekend, players will participate for 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Our Skills Trainings are group training opportunities for both beginners and advanced players.

Summer Basketball Skills Camp

Athletes will be taught basketball fundamentals, focusing on individual basic skills of passing, defense, ball handling, and shooting. Instruction will focus on teaching the fundamentals while teaching kids to have fun while competing. Each day, bible character qualities will be taught that connect both to basketball and life.

Summer Volleyball Skills Camp

Learn the game and improve your skills with concentrated practices from different age groups. Campers will be formed into teams to practice and compete for individual and team points as they learn to fine-tune their fundamentals of volleyball. Each day, biblical character qualities will be taught that connect both to volleyball and life.
